A couple of days ago, I started a new supplement to kill off the overgrowth of bacteria in my small intestine. This SIBO has come about, I have discovered, because my liver and gallbladder have not been producing enough bile. The right amount of Bile kills off bacteria both in the stomach (thereby eliminating reflux) and in the first part of the small intestine, thereby keeping the bacteria from overgrowing and causing inflammation and yeast production (bloating). I am going through a steady process to solve each broken process, and my first goal is increased bile production, then decreased bacteria, then the gallbladder flush to get rid of any soft stones that may be impacting the bile production. So a 6 month journey.
Anyway, this new supplement caused massive die off of bacteria, which released stored up toxins, and I felt the headache coming like a freight train. I started to feel a bit of that 'out of body' sensation you get with migraines. I immediately knew that stimulating my Vagus nerve, which connects the brain to the massive nervous system of the spine and major organs (GI tract, stomach and liver), would help. I was out shopping, so once I was in the car, I sat back with a bag of frozen blueberries against the back of my neck. I sat like this for 10 minutes, and the out of body experience left, the headache started to ease, and my focus became clearer. It didn't totally clear, but I was able to safely drive home. Once I got home, I applied an ice pack to the nerve pressure point on my neck again, and rubbed my neck and feet with CALM Sole Balm. And within minutes, the headache was almost gone and the nausea had lifted!
CALM Balm is one of these miracle balms that I didn't expect to be as powerful as it is. We discovered hypericum (St Johns Wort) when my youngest had her tongue tie lasered at 5 weeks old. If I used the hypericum (homoeopathically), she had zero pain. If I forgot, she would scream for hours until it kicked in. It was AMAZING. Hypericum is recognised as a potent natural herb that drastically reduces inflammation of damaged nerve endings. That is why it is used widely for ANXIETY (which is frequently triggered by stress, inflaming the nervous system), and also for PAIN, where nerve endings are physically damaged.
So from my little clinical trial of one, I discovered that my particular migraine was caused by toxins inflaming the nervous system, the Vagus nerve not functioning correctly to solve the problem, and by focussing quickly on the Vagus Nerve and calming the nervous system between the gut and the brain, I was able to turn it around.
I hope this helps someone!
Wow that sounds amazing Mary! I’m pretty sure I have a Vagus nerve issue so will try this too. I always feel it affects my stomach as well. No migraines but my head shakes. Feels like nerves affected. 💜💫⭐️
